Dear Willow Wood Village Residents,

As we approach the start of the 2026 hurricane season on June 1, the Association would like to encourage all residents to begin reviewing their personal hurricane preparedness plans. Now is the time to check emergency supplies, review evacuation information, confirm insurance coverage, secure outdoor items, and ensure you have a plan in place for family members, pets, and medications should a storm threaten our area. Early preparation significantly reduces stress and helps protect both residents and property.

The Association has posted several helpful hurricane preparedness resources on the community website at willowwoodvillage.com, under the “Hurricane Preparedness” tab.  These resources include the Pinellas County Hurricane Guide, Florida Division of Emergency Management guide, emergency kit information, evacuation resources, and planning links. Residents are encouraged to review these materials in advance of the season.

In addition, residents are reminded that, consistent with Florida law, the Association adopted a Hurricane Hardening Products Specifications and Fixed Generators Policy in December 2024 outlining approved hurricane protection products, ARC requirements, and generator guidelines. Residents may review the policy on the community website under the “Association Documents” tab.

The Association will continue monitoring official weather and emergency management information throughout the season and will communicate important community-related updates as necessary. We encourage everyone to stay informed, stay prepared, look out for neighbors when possible, and most importantly - stay safe this hurricane season.
